Royal Bengal Tours has developed knowledgeable, expert local multilingual tour escorts, guides, fixers, researchers, photographers and academic networks all across the country. All production companies need to apply for Filming Permission and relevant (journalist) Visas to the Bangladeshi Embassy in their respective country, along with a detailed list of all equipment to be brought into Bangladesh, a synopsis, and the full details of the film crew members.

Our company, as the local agent, will pursue the required permissions with the related Government bodies and offices (the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Home Ministry, the Ministry of Information, and Civil Aviation). In case an invitation letter is required, our company can issue these for the film crew members. However, we are not responsible for any refusal or delay of permission or visa.

Please note that the Government of Bangladesh requires every foreign film team to accommodate one Government officer during the entire filming period. His/her travel, accommodation, meals, and gratuity costs need to be covered by the production company.

Transport, accommodation, and other logistical support can be arranged locally to fit our requirements. Transport arrangements always include a skilled driver and a well-equipped, safe vehicle. Accommodation upon arrival in Dhaka as well as on location can be arranged through us. The Government representative will meet the team upon arrival at the International Airport and assist the crew in clearing customs upon arrival as well as departure.

Our drivers are very experienced and punctual, and all the vehicles are air-conditioned and very well-maintained. We can provide you with any type of vehicle, from economy to top-notch luxury. Just let us know your requirements, and we’ll make a quick offer for you. The price usually includes a fresh-conditioned vehicle, an expert driver, fuel, parking fees, tolls, and ferry charges. We offer airport pickup and drop-off services and private tours in and outside of Dhaka. Terms and conditions for Monthly car rental services will depend on the area and situation in which the car will be used.

Vehicle Hiring Methods: 

• Package: this term will include all possible expenses and your will be offered a set rate. In that case, we need to know the exact travel locations for a correct calculation of fuel consumption, road expenses, driver allowance, and overtime.
• Pay-as-you-go: We will offer you a set cost for a vehicle rent per day basis and you will bear all the other expenses on the spot including fuel, toll, parking, ferry, drivers meals & accommodation (if applicable during the overnight stay outside of Dhaka city).

Some information to keep in mind before hiring a vehicle in Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet and Sreemangal area:
All sedan car and mini van’s has both fuel and CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) energy system active in the vehicle. CNG is a little bit cheaper, environmentally friendly and we have our own CNG mines in Bangladesh. Therefore, these vehicles are equipped with an additional CNG Tank on the back trunk of vehicles. These tanks are quite big and consume luggage space. The back trunk of a sedan car is not enough to accommodate two big luggages. Same with the minivan. If you want a car without a CNG tank (we call them a fuel car), you should be specific on the inquiry. Any SUV, Bus and luxury branded vehicle does not use CNG energy system. And there are several versions of Pay As You Go; you can get a car with a fully loaded fuel tank, and you will return the same, and bear all the expenses while using the vehicle according to our vehicle usage and expenses terms.

Royal Bengal Tours provides experienced Fixers/Translator for assisting film crews in the field. They will coordinate all logistics, time schedules and helpers. If required, they will also act as translators (English/Bengali).
For other language translators, we will recruit suitable persons. Assistants for camera or sound can also be provided locally.
