We usually do not assign a professional guide for the homestay because they are aware of your likings, dislikes, conveniences, and inconveniences and will always influence the family in every step likewise. And the true cultural experience will stay behind the window. Instead, your guide will be a local student or a person who speaks English but still does not know much about the Western lifestyle. Only this is how you will learn why the big fish head came to your plate. That is not all; they will serve you chicken heads, liver, stomach, hearts, and so on… Maybe this is their delicacy. God sends guests with good luck for the family. It may be their duty to please their guests with the best meal they have. Where your professional guide can be a barrier.
