Sreemangal is a tea capital or land of two leaves and a bud, a synonym for the tea estates and the largest tea production. Sreemangal, about 75 km south of Sylhet and 150 km northeast of Dhaka, is about 4/5 hours of a pleasant train ride. A green carpet of tea leaves covers massive hilly areas is one of the most picturesque sights. Occasionally, the presence of lemon orchards, pineapple plantations, and rubber plantations makes this a perfect place for a visit and relaxation. Also, the tropical forests, wildlife, bird sanctuaries, waterfalls and lakes are potential attractions to keep you busy for few days. Sreemangal is a perfect holiday destination to enjoy tranquillity and nature.   Train Schedule between Airport Train Station (ATS) – Sreemangal (STS) and Sylhet (ZTS):

Day 2: Lawacharra National Park, Khashia Tribal village, bird watching trip to Baikka Beel
Your local guide will provide a rewarding wildlife trek through the Lawachara National Park. Early morning is a good time to explore abundant and diverse wildlife. The Lawachara forest is one of the last remaining tropical rainforests of the country and home to many endangered and rare species; Hollock Gibbons is one of the most prominent. A few hours' hikes through the dense forests is heaven for birdwatchers, naturalists and adventure seekers alike. After lunch, drive to Baikka Beel – a permanent wetland and bird sanctuary. Depending on the seasons, we offer either a boat trip (Summertime: April to September) on this marshland or birdwatching (winter time: October to March) and a nature enjoying trip. It is a beautiful marshland where thousands of lilies and lotus bloom. Birdwatchers and nature lovers have begun frequenting it. An observation tower promises the visitors a good view of the beel, its residents and winter visitors. During the winter season, many migratory birds find their nesting ground at this place. Among many migratory birds, some species have found their home here for living & nesting permanently.   Please note that around 3km road just before the wetland is in lousy condition, difficult to access by sedan cars but no problem for 4X4 driven vehicle (Jeep) or even minivans. Either we have to walk three kilometres or drive by a 4 X 4 vehicle (rainy season). Drive back to the resort for dinner and overnight stay.

Amazing trip in Dhaka and Bangladesh countryside
    Feb 2019 • Couples
We stayed two days in Dhaka, visiting several interesting places. We saw the old market place with all the spices, vegetables, fruits, seafood and all kind of goods. We visit the harbor, peoples homes and having food in local restaurants.
We also took a ride in a ricksha, exciting in this hectic and busy town. One of the days was also Mother language day and we where interviewed by the local TV.
It was the first time in my life I visit a town like this, for me it was a new world I didn’t exist.
We took the train to northeast part of Bangladesh, people sitting on the roofs and in the front of the train. I have just seen this on TV before. Amazing to see!!!!!!!
We were visiting a tea plantation and a nationalpark. Everywhere we had very skilled guides taking care of us. The whole journey was carried out by Royal Bengal Tours and I can really recommend this company, it was an amazing trip, Thank you Mr Jewel and Robin taking good care of us.
