Daylong River Cruise Around Dhaka

$111 tour starting at

Daylong River cruise is very refreshing and a backwater cruise through rivers around Dhaka makes the day charming. Whether sailing on the Bay of Bengal or traversing the marshlands, boats are ubiquitous throughout Bangladesh. A daylong river cruise to the Shitalakha River is an opportunity to relax with friends and family on a cozy boat. Journey through the beautiful landscape, the panorama of riverside activities, some old heritage sites, local craft and traditional textile visits, along with tea, coffee, snacks and freshly prepared local food for lunch, makes the day exciting. The boat is within 35 km (1 to 1.5 hours driving) distance from Dhaka city. We are flexible to start the trip earlier than the scheduled time. We need a minimum of 6 adults or equivalent payments to operate this trip.

Dhaka’s extensive river system supports life. Buriganga, Turag, Shitalakkhya, and other waterways have shaped the city’s history and culture for millennia. A daylong river cruise lets you experience this dynamic riverine culture and escape the city’s hustle and bustle.

River Rhythm
The river comes alive with sights and noises as the boat sails. The boat’s hull lapping provides a relaxing symphony. As the ship navigates the busy waterways, Dhaka’s famous bridges pass overhead, offering a unique view of the city’s architecture.

Historic Landmarks
River cruises offer stunning views of historical landmarks. From your perch, you may view centuries-old structures that shaped the region’s history. These old monuments’ tales captivate you.

Natural Harmony
The river hides several natural locations in the city. Greenery surrounds you as the boat passes through these locations. These areas are a birdwatcher’s paradise with a wide range of avian species.

Local Food
Local gastronomy is a feature of the daylong voyage—Hilsha fish curry and panta bhat are delicious riverine meals. On-deck refreshments and snacks keep you energized for the ride.

Community Engagement
River cruises connect riverside villages. As you land, the villagers embrace you with affection. Engaging with locals, learning about their lifestyles, and even partaking in their everyday activities create memorable experiences.

Calm Moments
The cruise has exciting and peaceful moments. The stunning scenery calms you as the boat glides. It’s time for reflection, relaxation, and inner calm away from city life.

Taking Pictures
You need a camera to capture this incredible journey. Travelers’ and crew members’ photography advice help you capture the river’s beauty and the journey’s adventures.

Embracing Sunset
The sunset colors the sky orange and purple. This stunning landscape is reflected in the river.
