Royal Bengal Tours are the best in Bangladesh
    Jan 2015 • Solo
I have travelled, worked and lived in over 60 countries & met many guides in many countries over the years, but there really is only one who is outstanding as a guide, Jewel at Royal Bengal Tours!
Jewel soon became and still is a friend as he is so caring and thoughtful with his only concerns being the health, safety and enjoyment of his guests.

His knowledge is outstanding, not only of his wonderful Bangladesh and its people but also he understands the needs of Westerners!
I travel to meet people and Jewel introduced me to the loveliest people I have ever met and was an exceptional interpreter.
I have a passion for local food, fruit and local tea! Jewel will tell you I never stopped drinking tea and due to his awareness of Westerner’s needs I never had the slightest twinge even though I drank tea from water from every imaginable source !
I could write more….but Royal Bengal Tours are faultless & you could get bored although I should add that since I met Jewel I have had some guides/agents who do not have his high standards of honesty and trustworthiness and have ruined my travel.
Thanks Royal Bengal Tours, Jewel, you are the BEST!!

    Comprehensive Tour of Bangladesh
    Dec 2017 • Family
Our family had the pleasure of traveling with Jewel and his associates for 2 weeks in Bangladesh. He was an impressive and thoughtful guide – well versed in his country’s history, potential and challenges. There was nothing he didn’t know and seemed energized by our interest and curiosity. He got us safely through the markets and local communities when we travelled out of Dhaka and I was touched by the compassion and respect he showed to all we met along the way. Jewel is an extremely competent guide – (organizing transportation (cars, flights, etc.), hotels and meals for 12 for 2 weeks is no small feat), and an engaging companion for travel. I recommend him to anyone looking for an active, informative (and safe) visit to Bangladesh.

Two weeks of exploring with Jewel
    Dec 2017 • Family
Jewel organized a two week tour of Bangladesh which included Dhaka, the Sundarbans, Bandarban and Cox’s Bazaar for my family of 12. We visited local villages, mosques, churches, markets and restaurants and spent five days on a boat in the Sundarbans. Jewel is a fantastic guide, he literally knew the answer to every question asked, whether it was about birds, history, food, or random things. He fit right in with our family and we all enjoyed spending time talking to him and learning about his life and family. He organized planes, boats and automobiles for us and was a never ending logistical master! I would highly recommend Royal Bengal Tours.

    Absolutely excellent service and experience!
    Jan 2019 • Family
Highly highly recommend! Whether you’ve been to Bangladesh before or it’s your first time, this tour will take you through the must see attractions of a beautiful country with the help of different tour guides for each city.

The driver for the whole journey (ours was Najim) was extremely polite, very gentlemen, professional and beyond to ensure we were safe at all times of our journey and would request him again on my next visit.

I will tell others whom may want to travel to Bangladesh to make sure to use this tour company. Thank you Mr Jewel for making my journey a great one.

Royal Bengal Tours were an amazing company to do a tour with. It was easy to organise via email or WhatsApp through Mr Jewel who was very helpful and who was contactable over in Bangladesh to help us with any enquiries.

    Fabulous Bangladesh vacation
    Dec 2019
It is hard to figure out where to start with the wonderful experience we had with Royal Bengal Tours during our week in Bangladesh. Other than a disastrous overnight boat tour which was not their fault, the entire experience was just incredible. The sites, the people and the things to see and do were so above and beyond our initial low expectations for a Bangladesh vacation. Obviously, if you are going to Bangladesh you have seen much of the world first. I’ve been to 102 countries and my wife has been to almost 80 before making it to Bangladesh. That said, this trip was possibly a top five for us for all our traveling. Going to a country where there is so little general tourism creates opportunities and experiences that you just won’t find in most parts of the world. Royal Bengal tour’s work with me to put together a comprehensive package that exposed us to the things we were interested in. Jewel is the man who runs the show and he was extremely communicative with me during the whole planning process. He arranged for our guide, Mithu, to take us to the highlights I was looking forward to and to places I never knew existed. Be prepared to be followed by crowds of both kids and adults hoping to talk with you, have your picture taken with them, and just being enamored by seeing foreigners. Highlights would certainly include a visit outside of Barisal to a gypsy encampment where people were amazingly hospitable to total strangers. We experienced this same environment during a morning the next day to a floating market that provided amazing photo opportunities with the early morning mist. I would also recommend a day trip or an overnight trip to Chittagong where you can have your guide rent a boat as you meander through the world-famous shipbreaking yards that are so unique and fascinating to see. I had hoped that an overnight on the Rocket would be a highlight and memorable experience, but after doing this I would not recommend it to anyone. Is a disaster waiting to happen that can ruin a number of days of your trip. So, ignore the pretty pictures from the Internet and a nostalgic perspective that some put on this trip. Go by train, plane or automobile to avoid this unmitigated disaster. But with that mess behind us, Mithu did a great job getting us back on track with the tour modification that actually was far superior to what we were going to of seen if we had done the very short tourist tour of the Sundabars. Clearly, it was the guidance and support of Jewel and Mithu that made this trip as fabulous as it was.
