Daylong Walking Tour of Old Dhaka

(1 customer review)

$50.00

The daylong Old Dhaka walking tour walks through the mysterious heritage and the streets that are not yet mentioned in any travel guide, and an individual will not find those secrets by themselves. Puran Dhaka (Old Dhaka) is dirty, messy, and crowded, but that is part of its charm. Colorful rickshaws abound at every corner, and kids play cricket wherever they can. Mosques call for prayer, and shingara merchants often offer tourists free shingara or puri.

    “Amazing Day in Old Dhaka”

Did the Old Dhaka tour with ROYAL BENGAL TOURS and it was honestly awesome. Jewel was my guide and such an amazing gentleman – super friendly and knew all the interesting spots. We started at this fresh market, which was a bit intense at first (so crowded…), but it actually turned out to be the perfect intro to the madness of Old Dhaka.

We walked through back alleys, went inside a friend’s home, took rickshaw and boat rides, wandered through scrapyards, and much more. These places aren’t mentioned in any travel guide and would be impossible to find on your own. And Jewel even brought a drone 🙂 He got the most insane shots of the city and of us from above. The pics he sent me are unreal – I’ll keep them forever.

Also, a big thank you to ROYAL BENGAL TOURS for helping with my visa. I really appreciated the extra service – not sure I could’ve entered Bangladesh without their help.

If you really want to see Dhaka, not just the usual tourist stuff, this is the way to do it. Thank you for the unforgettable day, Jewel!
