The journey will focus on lifestyle and culture besides the world’s largest shipbreaking yards, mountain hiking, boating on rivers and lakes, rural architecture and nature. Stretching down to the country’s south-eastern corner, the Chittagong division shares borders with India and Myanmar (Burma) to the eastern side. The beaches, hills and ethnic culture are the dominant features of this area, particularly in the Hill Tracts and south to the Myanmar border.

The adventure begins in Chittagong, a bustling city brimming with history and culture. Exploring its vibrant markets, ornate mosques, and colonial-era buildings, you will immerse yourself in the tapestry of local life.

Leaving the city behind, the road leads to the mesmerizing Bandarban Hill Tracts. Nestled amidst lush greenery and mist-covered mountains, this region is a paradise for nature enthusiasts. Trekking through picturesque trails, you will be greeted by cascading waterfalls, verdant valleys, and sprawling green hills that stretch as far as the eye can see.

The indigenous communities residing in the Hill Tracts captivate you with their rich traditions and warm hospitality. One of the highlights of the trip is visiting the iconic Golden Temple, also known as Buddha Dhatu Jadi. Day 1: Chittagong Ship breaking yard and life around
Avail the first flight to Chittagong. Upon arrival, meet your awaiting driver and drive towards the world largest ship Breaking industry. Drive back to the town for lunch at a local restaurant. We will offer you a nice cruise on the Karnaphuli river around the city and visit the flea markets and bazars early in the evening. Or alternatively, you can take a boat from the ship breaking yard to a nearby mangrove and coastal island' Shondwip". It would be exciting to explore the life of Sandwip, see how climate change is going to affect their life! Overnight stay at a hotel in Chittagong town.

Day 2: Explore the architecture around Chittagong town
After breakfast, leave the hotel by car for Chandgaon Mosque (Ar. Kashef Mahboob Chowdhury), Buddhist temple and Ganalsngker student residence (Ar. Saif ul Haque), Architect Muzharul Islam's buildings at Chittagong University campus. Asgar Ali Mosque (Ar. Kashef Mahboob Chowdhury) and visit some ancient and colonial architectures around the older part of the city. Overnight stay at a hotel in Chittagong town.

Day 3: Sea fish market with early morning catches traditional wooden shipbuilding yard
Check out from the hotel after an early breakfast to visit a fish market- this is the largest sea fish market in the country. Hundreds of fishing boats arrive from the Bay of Bengal with few days (one day to a week) catches. All fishes are auctioned on arrival and distributed through the country and to the processing zone for exports. Continue drive to visit the World war-ii cemetery and ethnological Museum. After lunch at a local restaurant, continue driving towards Bandarban Hill district. Overnight stay at Sairu Hill resort or in an eco-lodge.

Day 4: Morning relaxation scenic Shangu River Cruise
Relax at Sairu and enjoy the hilly nature and till early afternoon. Leave the hotel after lunch by reserved vehicle for Ruma Bazar. Here you will embark on a country boat for a beautiful cruise on the Shangu river down to Bandarban town. Your guide will invite you for some hikes through the local hill tribal villages during your boat journey (if you are interested). You will be reaching Bandarban just a while before the dark. Drive back to Sairu hill resort for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Tribal Market, some temples and hike through a Tripura tribal village
After early morning breakfast from your hotel, drive to Bandarban town to explore the weekly tribal market. Hill tribe community comes to the marketplace once or twice a week to sell their harvests and hunts and buy the products they need. It's charming to walk around these markets of the vibrant tribal and community. Continue driving through the beautiful hilly landscape to Ram Jadi and Shorno Mandir – the Buddhist temples. Lunch will be served at the Rigri Khayang Restaurant of Hill Side Resort, located outside the town. Enjoy the endless landscape from the restaurant. Later, you may go for two hours hike through a Tripura tribal village or visit Nichal to see how local tourism develops. Drove back to Sairu hill resort for overnight stay.

Day 6: Meeting the colourful tribal of Bandarban hills and evening flight to Dhaka
Downhill hike through a Mro tribal village and leave the hotel for Chittagong airport. On the way, you will visit Shoilopropat tribal handicraft market, Farukpara, Bawm village and Bandarban ethnological Museum. Continue to drive towards the airport to avail an early evening flight to Dhaka. Upon arrival, you will be received and transferred to your hotel in Dhaka.
