This trip combines adventure and relaxation while providing a glimpse of the Hill Tracts. This three-day trip will take you to Chittagong city, its surroundings and the Rangamati Hill District. Chittagong City is unparalleled for the world’s largest ship-breaking industry. The contemporary, ancient, and colonial architectures are marvellous. Seaports, beaches, and sea fish abound, as does an exciting way of life. After city sightseeing and spending a night in Chittagong, the journey continues to Rangamati for overnight relaxation by Kaptai Lake.

A trip to Chittagong hill tracts offers a vibrant tribal culture and lifestyle, adventure, hiking, lush reserved forest and wildlife, beautiful cruise on numerous lakes and rivers through the hilly zones.

Day 1: Dhaka – Chittagong; Shipbreaking Yard and local market

5:30 AM, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the domestic airport to avail of the first flight to Chittagong City. Upon arrival, meet your driver and drive towards the shipbreaking yards. A few hours of country boat cruise around the Shipbreaking yard is fascinating. Continue to Chittagong city sightseeing, Ethnological Museum visit, afternoon boat cruise on Karnaphuli River and evening flea market visit. Night stay at a hotel in Chittagong town.

Day 2: Explore the chaotic fish market in Chittagong and drive to Rangamati

A morning visit to the largest sea fish market and manual wooden shipbuilding industry would be exciting. This Bazar is the largest sea fish market in the country. Hundreds of fishing boats arrive from the Bay of Bengal with few days (one day to a week) catches. All fishes are auctioned on arrival and distributed through the country and to the processing zone for exports. Ocean-going wooden shipbuilding yard is next door, an impressive documentary. Driver to Rangamati, enjoy the Tribal Cultural Museum and local tribal Marketplace. Walking around the old Bazar and the tribal residential area would be interesting. Overnight at the Hotel Parjatan Motel in the town.

Day 3: Beautiful Kaptai lake cruise, Tribal villages and Buddhist monastery visit

Beautiful Kaptai lake cruise in the morning for few hours. Walkthrough a tribal market, tribal villages and Buddhist monastery (Raj Bono Vihara). Would be better to have an early lunch at a local restaurant in Bandarban town before driving towards Chittagong airport to avail evening flight to Dhaka. Upon arrival at Dhaka airport, you will receive your drive and transfer to a hotel for an overnight stay.
